the client: Survived & Punished NY

the project: I designed the layout and created abstract illustrations throughout the zine to accompany the poems, quotes and artwork submitted by contributors inside and outside the prison system. This zine contains submissions from individuals that have supported them through challenging times to create a collective lifeline.

my approach: I wanted to frame the zine’s content visually without distracting from the submitted artwork and words. I took inspiration from the idea of a lifeline and created abstract illustrations using a continuous line inspired by the content on each page.

The zine was printed and shared digitally.
